About Us

Our Background

Driven Academic Learning Services (DALS) started as a result of homeschooling my own children from pre-K through highschool.  My goal was to be aware of content and support them in their learning journey.  During that time I earned a Master's in Education to learn more about how students are learning in today's academic settings and with the current technology.

Our Expertise


DALS supports all subjects with an emphasis in math and the sciences. DALS provides help with homework assignments, tests, strategies for studying and scheduling study time.

Ndaisha Slaughter-Cook

My name is Ndaisha and I have been a homeschooler and learning coach for over a decade.  I earned a Masters in Education from Concordia University, Irvine and a B.S.  in Biochemistry from UCLA.  With over five years in science research, I have learned how to tackle difficult subject matter and break topics up in ways that are easy to digest.  I provide assistance in all subjects with an emphasis in math and the sciences for elementary, middle and high school.   As a Registered Behavior Technician,  I also focus on motivating and engaging students by exploring their own interests and connecting those interests with their academic subjects.  I aim to establish academic discipline and encourage students by utilizing Growth Mindset practices.  Consistency is key to making progress towards your child's academic succcess!
